If you enjoy making cakes, few tools are as versatile at creating ‘one of a kind’ cakes as the Checkerboard Cake Pan. Mix and match the color combinations to fit any holiday or occasion. This cake uses cookie cutters to create heart shapes using various colored fondant. If you’ve mastered the basics of cake decoration, this cake is a snap to make.
Tell your sweetheart you love them with this note heart cookie. It uses special food-safe, FoodWriter™ Edible Color Markers to create the special note. The instructions for this cookie call for the use of fondant to create the white base. However, you could also ice the cookie with royal icing.
Want to wow your family, friends, co-workers, and kid’s classsmate’s, but don’t want to spent too much time in the kitchen? This Heart Tasty-Fill™ Pan allows you to bake a cake with a perfect heart shaped cavity ready to be filled with whipping cream, mousse, icing, or ice cream. This cake has a simple buttercream icing that is decorated with ready-made hearts. The pink and white border is made with fondant rectangles.
Part candy making, part cupcake baking, these Candy Lip Cupcakes really are easier to create than they may look. Melt red Candy Melts®* and pour into the special mold. Insert a lollipop stick and allow to harden. Bake your favorite cupcakes and ice them with a swirl of buttercream. Top with your candy heart lips. This would make a great Valentine’s treat for your kids class.
Working with fondant seems difficult, but it’s actually easier than getting the cake icing to turn out smooth. This beautifully creative cake is made using your favorite recipe, baked in a Puffed Heart Pan. A layer of light pink fondant is smoothed onto the cake. The white banner is also fondant. The red hearts are created with fondant and cookie cutters, as are the letters spelling L O V E.
A Zig-Zag Friendship Heart Cookie Cutter is used to create this unusual heart design. It creates two cookies at once that fit together perfectly. Color Flow™ icing in white and red is used to coat each side of the heart. Once the icing is dry, a pretty scroll design is piped onto the cookies.
