Myrtle Beach, SC – Bubbles, the elephant, was orphaned when poachers killed her parents for their tusks. Despite her tragic start in life, Bubbles found a new home at the Myrtle Beach Safari, a preserve and conservation fund in South Carolina. Today, the 30 year old, four ton elephant has also found a new friend in a Black Lab named Bella.
The two even play fetch together. When Bubbles picks up a tennis ball and ventures into the pool to tease Bella, the Black Lab jumps right into the water as well. Caretakers for the preserve say it’s not uncommon to see Bella climbing on and riding on top of Bubbles.
Myrtle Beach Safari is open to the public. To find more information about the preserve and tours, visit them at www.myrtlebeachsafari.com.
