Fresno, CA – Eboness Belin, owner of Sheer Bliss Designs, has seen her events featured in numerous magazines and websites.  Known for creating memorable designs that combine handcrafted elements with exquisite attention to detail, her Sweet Tea and Roses Vintage Tea Party is no different.  For this design, she was looking to create something that beautifully melded the new and the old.  We think she succeeded!

The centerpiece of this party is a simple rectangular table, situated under a maple tree and topped with a textured white tablecloth and billowing white underlay.  Hung high atop the table is a netted canopy with ruffled pink topper. It is a perfect spot to enjoy delicious treats on a bright Spring day.

Opting to let the food be the star of the show, Belin made a centerpiece of the beautiful pink and white cupcakes.  She used three cake stands, with eyelet lace edging detail, stacked together to create a tiered cupcake stand.

Peony’s, spilling over a milk glass vase, flank one side of the cupcake stand, while a vintage, floral-painted teapot sits on the opposite side.

Ever the eye for detail, the green leaves of the teapot design blend beautifully with the soft teal place setting and accent fabric, and adds just the right touch of extra color. Mismatched vintage teacups complete the table setting. Two vintage bistro chairs, tied with pink bows, complete the look.

One of our favorite elements of this supper feminine design is the use of fabric covered books, in coordinating patterns, to add lift and height to the table elements.

The beautifully inspired details are not surprising for someone whose creative streak runs deep and long.

“I’ve always been what one would call ‘creative’,” Belin said.  “I was one of those kids that loved the big 64-count boxes of Crayola crayons, made fun of for years for knowing specifically how colors “Chartreuse”, or “Periwinkle” looked.”

A white design is perfect for allowing beautifully crafted food to take center stage. But when designing with a primarily white-on-white color scheme, texture and detail become exceptionally important.  This is where Eboness, and her team, truly shine.  Lace, netting, textured fabrics, and billowing cloth mix with painted wood and metal, and are topped off by the use of glass, and porcelain.

Sheer Bliss Designs is known for their luxurious desert tables, so it is not surprising that a stunning desert buffet features prominently in this design. A Queen Anne buffet table, painted in soft white and topped with a lace runner, is overflowing with scrumptious deserts in shades of pink and white.

Again, letting food be the focal point, a two tiered cake stand is topped with a pink ruffled cake, referencing the canopy topper nearby.

If you run out of room on the table top, just open a drawer!  This is an ingenuous and super easy way to extend the display space.  Eboness placed packaged goodies in one draw, and in the other, a tall glass cake stand topped with pink candy coasted apples.  She strung a pennant banner between the two draws made from coordinating prints.  More pink spring flowers, mini cakes, and deserts complete this multi-layered design.

An over-sized white lantern with peony blossoms instead of candles, and a vintage inspired wire dress form, complete this soft, sweet, and super elegant look.

Eboness, and her team, handcraft at least one to two elements of every party they design.  Many of those items are available online at the Etsy Store.
