Nashville, TN – For Kelly and Cathy Maxwell it all started with a wedding back in 2001. Their eldest daughter was getting married and proud dad, Kelly, created several hand crafted tables and garden benches for the reception. Family and friends loved the one of kind pieces so much a business was born.
Taking the name from a creek that ran through their Georgia farm, Little Branch, the couple began exhibiting their designer pieces at home and craft shows. In 2014, Cathy’s job brought the couple Nashville and to new chapter in their lives and business. They opened Littlebranch Galley just south of the city’s famed SoBro neighborhood with its music venues, restaurants, and neon lights.
Completely self taught, Kelly is master of revealing the natural majesty of God given materials and making simple logs sing with renewed beauty. You will find no mass-produced catalog on their website. Every piece is a custom-made work of art.
If you have something more specific in mind, you can visit the workshop and tour the “wood yard.” There you can hand-pick materials for a custom-made piece that is designed specifically for your home or that of a client. There is a large selection of cedar logs and stumps, redwood burl slabs, cypress, walnut, and maple burl slabs from which to choose.
From simple rustic mantels to naturally ornate beds you will find a world of inspiration and one of kind artistry for the home at Littlebranch Farm Gallery. If you can’t get to Nashville, visit them online.
