Spring finally arrived and it is time to grab your garden hat and join me in my garden for a cup of tea and I will share with you how easy it is to add early Spring color to your garden containers with “pansy love.”
Bentley, my Garden Assistant, is already in the garden waiting for us to start planting!
These cheerful plants come in many sizes and colors and are easy to plant and care for as long as you provide them with a sunny spot and humus rich soil that is not too dry. The easiest way to plant your containers is to buy Pansies already started in small pots or multi-packs and use a good potting mix made especially for containers. You can also make your own potting mix by adding compost or an organic fertilizer to your soil. Pansies can be grown from seed by following the directions on the seed packet. They like sun to part shade and moist well drained soil, and can handle an occasional cold snap.
