Bentley, my Garden Assistant, is already in the garden waiting for us to start planting!

The easiest way to plant your containers is to buy Pansies already started in small pots or multi-packs and use a good potting mix made especially for containers.  You can also make your own potting mix by adding compost or an organic fertilizer to your soil.   Pansies can be grown from seed by following the directions on the seed packet.   They like sun to part shade and moist well drained soil, and can handle an occasional cold snap.
